I am 12 years old. I have 2 guinea pigs and a 6 year old fish. I have 2 sisters and 0 brothers;). I have been gluten and dairy free for about 3 and a half years now and it really helps my life style. I take school seriously and I want to be a vet when I grow up. I hope to go to Michigan State or Michigan and I dream of getting a scholarship for horseback riding. I play volleyball, softball, and I ride horses. I want to play basketball, hockey, football, and soccer. I love to draw, write, and read. I also enjoy being a little kid and playing with my little sister (that is the kid side of me). If you have any questions feel free to ask.

  1. Lexi, I just heard your interview with Dr. O’Bryan. It caught my attention because of the quote that you used to “puke into your mouth”. My twelve year old daughter has been having what she calls “mini-pukes” since she was 5-6 years old. I had never heard of anyone else suffering from this.. Can you describe what you mean, and how long it took for the problem to go away once you went gluten free? She also gets stomach aches and suffers from anxiety. I never thought these symptoms could be related to gluten intolerance.

Just to let you know, I have been gluten free for over a year, and it is HARD! And I am 51!. But I feel way better too! Good luck to you! Tane

  2. Puking in your mouth is pretty much just eating food and it coming back up. It is too fast and you don’t spit it out. GROSS!

Within a week of being gluten free, I noticed changes. Less stomach aches, less puking in my mouth, sleeping better, less anxiety (still have some at times).

If you have anymore questions, I would love to answer. I will be gluten and dairy free 2 years in January. It has gotten easier, but sometimes is still HARD!!

Thank you for commenting. Good luck to you and your daughter,
